Our Faithful Citizenship/Life Matters Committee is a group of parishioners who work to offer opportunities for our parish to show its concern and respect for all human life at all stages.
The Life Matters Committee provides support to the disadvantaged, elderly, and those in need through outreach activities, researching current topics and laws relating to the respect of life, and praying for respect life issues. This Committee organizes parish-wide prayer events and prepares educational materials for the parish.
October 1 - Queen of Confessors: Uphold all who live & teach the Gospel of Life.
October 2 - Blessed Mother: Cradle the unborn & bring them into being.
October 3 - Blessed Mary: Motivate all medical professionals with respect for life.
October 4 - Our Lady of Mercy: Bring an end to cruelty to animals.
October 5 - Dearest Mother: Teach the youth of our parish enrolled in Faith Formation.
October 6 - Mother of Comfort: Dry the tears of those who mourn the loss of a loved one.
October 7 - Mother of Wisdom: Sustain those who are single in periods of loneliness.
October 8 - Mother of Miracles: Console those suffering with cancer.
October 9 - Holy Mother: Change the hearts of those considering suicide.
October 10 - Our Lady of Grace: Cradle those dying of a terminal illness.
October 11 - Queen of Angels: Protect our bishop, pastor, & deacon who unselfishly serve us.
October 12 - Mother of Consolation: Teach forgiveness to those burdened with anger.
October 13 - Holy Mary: Heal the lives of those imprisoned by addictions.
October 14 - Our Lady of Lourdes: Strengthen our elderly who have grown weak with age.
October 15 - Mother most Holy: Fortify those striving to be good parents.
October 16 - Mother of God: Inspire pregnant women with a mother’s love for their child.
October 17 - Queen of Peace: Rouse all politicians to defend life.
October 18 - Mother of Jesus: Sustain seminarians in their journey to receive Holy Orders.
October 19 - Our Lady of Fatima: Look after the children who are abused or neglected.
October 20 - Queen of Martyrs: Comfort the victims of violent crimes.
October 21 - Immaculate Mary: Encourage those who are dating to be patient & chaste.
October 22 - Mother of Comfort: Hear the cry of those who live with chronic pain.
October 23 - Mother most Charitable: Attend to the homebound in their loneliness.
October 24 - Our Lady of Hope: Protect our troops fighting for our freedom.
October 25 - Sweetest Mother: Stop wrongful research on human embryos.
October 26 - Loving Mother: Lead home children who have run away.
October 27 - Mary my Mother: Sustain those near death who are denied food and water.
October 28 - Queen of Heaven: Encourage our seminarians to accept Jesus’ call to spiritual fatherhood.
October 29 - Mother most Prudent: Assist families in financial distress.
October 30 - Madonna of Tears: Bring healing to parents who ended their pregnancy.
October 31 - Mother of Sorrow: Assist caregivers as they comfort the sick.
