You’ll find our knitters every Thursday afternoon in our Parish Meeting Room. They’re a "not- so-quiet" group intent on their craft. Offering smiles to old and new friends alike, and working their fingers tirelessly as they share their talent through their Knitting Needles. This ministry works through both heart and hands. Their gifts bring warmth and comfort to those who receive.
Our Knitting Ministry is made up of a group of dedicated women who take time each week to focus on knitted gifts for our community. Our Knitting Ministry has donated over 1,000 items this past year alone. Gifts range from prayer shawls, infant hats & booties, lap blankets, sweaters, and hats & mittens. The love and prayers that accompany these knitted gifts are priceless.
Many of our own parishioners have been gifted with one of this Ministry’s beautiful prayer shawls. These shawls have brought warmth and comfort to those going through difficult medical treatments and those who are mourning the death of a loved one. Other recipients of knitted gifts include local hospitals, Veterans Homes, Hospice House, Homeless Shelters, and the Salvation Army.
Thank you to each member of our Knitting Ministry for the time you give, the talent you share, and for the prayers you so generously offer.
